Get To Know Me
Get To Know Me
My favorite vacation was in August of 2015 to celebrate my husband’s and my 10th anniversary. We went to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It was 104 degrees
in the shade and no shade! We took the caravan ride out to see the animals.
Our guide said because of the heat, we got to see a group of 6 giraffes
(two young ones among them) sitting together under a shade tree. We got
to feed leaves to the giraffes and apples to the rhinos. You could say
it was a “hot” date…
Books currently reading
I am currently reading,
What’s So Amazing About Grace by Philip Yancey.
Most prized possession
My most prized possession is my faith.
My hobbies are knitting, making fleece blankets, working on other miscellaneous
crafts, baking – in particular, my mom’s cut-out cookie recipe
that calls for sour cream and nutmeg , and singing in my church’s
choir with my husband.
My favorite films are probably Disney’s animated films because they
remind me of all the time I spent with my daughters when they were little
watching these films together. On the top of that list would be
The Little Mermaid because it has to do with getting one’s voice back and being who
one really is.
“To be torn unmercifully by external forces, and still to preserve
one’s inward integrity, is to know the discipline that endures.”

What are you most proud of at Geraci?
I am proud to be a part of a Corporation where all the employees truly
respect each other.
If you could go back and change any aspect of your life, which would it be?
I would have married my husband, Paul, sooner!
Who is or was the most influential person in your life?
The most influential person in my life is my mentor, Robert (he is sort
of a cross between a big brother and a wise grandfather to me…).
I have had some pretty rough patches in my life (everyone does, I know…).
Robert has been a constant through them all. To me, he exudes the unconditional
acceptance and care of Jesus. I am so grateful for his wisdom, his humor
(and liking my sense of humor, too!), his listening ear and his genuine
concern for me. Case in point: he is the one who encouraged me to apply
for a position at Geraci! I am so glad I listened to him.
What is your proudest achievement?
Kicking cancer, and working while having Chemotherapy…because employees
needed to be paid even if I was sick and bald!!! But it was my husband
standing by my side at every infusion that helped me fight on.
What’s it like working at Geraci?
Geraci Law Firm is known as the “Un-Firm.” To explain my thoughts
on this, I must first digress.
On pages 55-58 of the book,
The Productivity Project by Chris Bailey, Chris explains two parts of the brain: the limbic system
and the prefrontal cortex. Simply stated, he says that the limbic system
is the pleasure center of one’s brain and the prefrontal cortex
is the logical part of one’s brain.
One conclusion would be that the limbic system would interfere with getting
work done and would not be too useful in the workplace. The author quickly
asserts that while that can be the case, the truth is when these two parts
of the brain work together, the result is creative productivity. Examples
the author gives are inventions such as the printing press, light bulbs,
and the internet.
With that as my backdrop, the best way I can describe Geraci Law Firm is
to say Christina and Anthony Geraci have labored to set up an environment
where these two parts of the brain can function in tandem much more readily
than in conventional law firms.
That, to me, is a good explanation of why Geraci Law Firm is called the
What was it that drew you to Geraci?
When I saw the posting for an open position at Geraci Law Firm, it stated
in the posting that their core values were Peace of Mind, Striving for
Excellence, being Dedicated to Constant Communications, being Accountable
and being Passionate. Those values resonated deeply within me. I feel
so fortunate to work at this incredibly unique and wonderful place…
